Corowned is a made up word merged from corona and crown / a corona is a crown.
This blog was initiated by Ivan who sees it has a way of promoting and discussing 'Covid Response' - a project co-created through the involvement of disabled poets, Wendy Young, Michelle Baharier, Kuli Kohli and Gwyneth Wilson whose original works were heard at a workshop facilitated by Richard and commissioned by Disability Arts Online who recruited other poets who fed into the final work.
Ivan will provide initial musical sketches to the collected poems and use imagery provided by the poets to develop a 360 degree installation which can host the poets and a group of disabled musicians versed in providing spontaneous responses. This installation will be toured.
Richard and Ivan look forward to completing the project before moving on to developing other works with their disabled communities.
